blueberry cornmeal pancakes (holiday style)

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 JIFFY corn mix
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup blueberries

Remember this is holiday style so if you want it a little sweeter you can add sugar.

PREPARATION:

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.

In a small bowl combine the milk and water.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir in the soy milk mixture just until combined. Fold in the blueberries and let the batter sit for 5 minutes.

Lightly oil a skillet or griddle and heat over medium heat. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot griddle and cook until pancakes are bubbly on top and edges are slightly dry looking. Turn and cook until pancakes are browned. Transfer to a baking sheet and keep warm in the oven while cooking the remaining batter. Serve warm with syrup or jam.

This is one of the recipes I made for my class.  THEY LOVED IT.  It tastes corny and sweet and pancakey.  I put blueberries on the side too for look and for the taste.

Make your coffee better

HI,

this is one of my famous ways to fix up your coffee.  I always liked to mix things together and see what it made.  Most of the time, I failed miserably.  This is one of the times I actually did really well.  I almost forgot,  are you wondering why I am writing about coffee if most kids do not like it.  Well coffee is one of my favorite drinks when I get up!  This is not hard at all to make!

ingredients:

Squirter whip cream

caramel

cinnamon sugar

french vanilla creamer

First you get a small/medium size cup.  Then you pour the coffee in the cup.  Add the creamer,  swirl the whip cream on top.  Then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar and drizzle the caramel on top of the whipped cream.

Another smoothie

This is the smoothie that my brother used for the cook-off. They ran out of material to make another one. So I think you will like it too.

the ingredients are….

7 ice cubes

1/2 of JELLO (strawberry)

1/4 cup heavy whipping cream

8 strawberries

2 frozen bananas

1 package vanilla yogurt

Hope it is yummy!!!!

HOMEMADE fresh ice cream

Hi,

for this next recipe you will need more of an old fashioned ice cream maker. I might send a picture of it if i get to go to my grandmother’s house.

With this recipe the secret ingredient is vanilla because it gives it a very good ice cream taste that is different from Blue Bell. So you might want to add a little more vanilla than the recipe calls for.

Ingredients

1 1/2 tsp. REAL VANILLA

2 cups milk

2/3 cup sugar

1 egg

Cook off

Hi,
In a week or so my brother will be doing a cook off and
he said he would like to use one of my recipes. I am trying to figure out a food.

I would like you to vote on your favourite breakfast food on my blog. He said he would like to have a smoothie and a food. Or you can just give a suggestion on a food.

This is my brother. He is 13
